The dissertation methodology is a section in the dissertation that gives a clear and detailed view of how you will handle the dissertation and the reasons for the chosen approach of handling the dissertation. Generally, the section appears just after the literature review.

A good methodology for your dissertation should merge the way of reaching your conclusions, the already surveyed scholarship in the field, and the question in research. A well-structured methodology should feature the following:
